General Information:

This second session focusses on the hands-on presentation of SimStack. Its the continuation of the first Walkthrough on February 11th 2026.

We will introduce SimStack II as a modern, Python-based workflow orchestration system designed to bridge the gap between complex scientific simulations and user-friendly graphical interfaces. It allows researchers to build, execute, and visualize workflows across local and remote HPC resources seamlessly.

The workshop will focus on:

Introduction to architecture and the graphical user interface
Running preconfigured workflow elements with examples in machine learning (UI only)
Extending the preconfigured workflows (some python required)
Running, monitoring and debugging workflows in Simstack II
Remote execution of workflows
Manipulation of datasets
Creating artifacts to analyze data
