General Information:

This second session focusses on the hands-on presentation of SimStack. Its the continuation of the first Walkthrough on February 11th 2026.

We will introduce SimStack II as a modern, Python-based workflow orchestration system designed to bridge the gap between complex scientific simulations and user-friendly graphical interfaces. It allows researchers to build, execute, and visualize workflows across local and remote HPC resources seamlessly.

The workshop will focus on:

• Introduction to architecture and the graphical user interface
• Running preconfigured workflow elements with examples in machine learning (UI only)
• Extending the preconfigured workflows (some python required)
• Running, monitoring and debugging workflows in Simstack II
• Remote execution of workflows
• Manipulation of datasets
• Creating artifacts to analyze data
